Brief Services

What is it? 

Our Brief Service model is a short-term, goal focused approach, which helps people address their concerns by exploring their strengths, abilities and navigating their use of resources. Our team’s approach utilizes 1 to 3 sessions.  

Goals 

  • Explore individual strengths, abilities, and resources.   

  • Generate collaborative and meaningful goals. 

  • Co-create a plan to achieve identified goals. 

Who is it for?  

  • Children, youth (up to the age of 18), families and their supports.

How to access? 

  • A call to the Centre to schedule an access appointment.

One Stop Talk

Brief Services:

  • Solution –focused sessions (in person, by phone or virtual) 

  • Case Management and Service Coordination: consultation with other professionals and agencies who are also involved with your child and family; referrals to other services in the community 

  • Referral to Tele-Mental Health (access to child psychiatric consultations by video conference) 

  • Linkage to the Huron Perth Helpline and Crisis Response Team for situations for which crisis intervention may be needed
