Timely Access Service

What is it? 

Our Timely Access program is a point of intake for children, youth and families, that offers a collaborative community approach to assess the need to access mental health services and other types of supports.  

Goals

  • Identify strengths.
  • Assess needs and risks.
  • Collaboratively determine service options.
  • Ensure that children, youth and their families receive the right service at the right time, and in the right place.

Who is it for?  

  • Children, youth (up to the age of 18), families and their supports.

How to access?

  • A call to the Centre to determine next steps.

Brief Services:

  • Solution –focused sessions (in person, by phone or virtual) 

  • Case Management and Service Coordination: consultation with other professionals and agencies who are also involved with your child and family; referrals to other services in the community 

  • Referral to Tele-Mental Health (access to child psychiatric consultations by video conference) 

  • Linkage to the Huron Perth Helpline and Crisis Response Team for situations for which crisis intervention may be needed
