Intensive Services:
What is it?
Intensive Services programming includes a range of services. These services are customized and delivered based on the assessed needs of the children, youth or families. Intensive services are delivered in a variety of settings; home, school, in community.
Goals
- Reduce the severity of mental health concerns.
- Strengthen coping and resilience.
- Enhance awareness and understanding of the needs.
- Improve functioning at home, school and in the community.
- Stabilize and transition to less intensive services.
- Ensure that children, youth and their families receive the right service at the right time, and in the right place.
Who is it for?
- Children, youth (up to the age of 18), families and their supports.
